Are the heaters safe?

The SnugglePuppie and SnuggleKittie heaters are safe and non-toxic - the main reason why we chose these short term, disposable heaters rather than the other choices available to heat - like the gel warmers you put into the microwave - some gel warmers even have a disc that if a puppy where to chew, it could potentially cause damage to the throat...the heaters we sell are made from natural ingredients that when exposed to air heat up, and will heat for about 20 hours. Once finished heating, you throw them away with your regular trash. We also suggest dry rice in the microwave for short duration heat. We give you the rice pouch (not the rice though) and all the heating instructions. I hope this helps, let me know if I can explain more or answer any other question or concern - Julee

Research Objectives: ecology, conservation, distribution, and education: The LWRP has been working in the DRC since 1992. The mission of the LWRP is to conduct scientific research on, conservation of, and educational activities about fauna, primarily the bonobo (Pan paniscus), and flora within the project area. The project area corresponds to Zone Dekese, Province Kasai Occidental. In addition, the LWRP focuses on community relations throughout the project area and conduct surveys for bonobos outside the project area. Since 1994 the LWRP has been coordinating efforts with the staff of Salonga National Park-South Sector (PNS-SS), which falls within the project mandate. In 1997 the LWRP organized the first delivery of supplies and equipment to PNS-SS. In 1998 a joint ICCN/LWRP team collaborated on a faunal distribution reconnaissance survey and collected data on human activities. The LWRP focuses on large mammal bio-monitoring, capacity building, facility restoration, and community relations in PNS-SS. In 1997-1998 the LWRP purchased a 43,000 hectare conservation concession (called the Bososandja Faunal Refuge) which is managed through local civil authority and survived the war years without loss of any wildlife. The BFR protects all wildlife within the range of the Bososandja bonobos, the LWRP primary study group. Between July 1999 - July 2002 the LWRP administered the DRC Parks Emergency Relief Mission in response to the multinational conflict being fought on Congo's soil. The LWRP has been/is an active partner in the UNESCO/UNF/DRC effort since November 2000. The LWRP initiated the international "Outfit a Ranger" campaign to uniform the 1,600 garde de parc personnel across all DRC parks. In September 2001 the LWRP was the first bonobo field study site to reestablish efforts on the ground with the return of the foreign research director. Field work continues.

Summer fun-n-floaty fetch toys!

Play fetch with our great fun-n-floaty fetch toys! Katie's Bumpers makes Sqwuggies, Heave Hose, and Frequent Flies from firehose - very durable material that stands up to canine teeth. Sqwuggies and Frequent Fliers have squeakers, Heave Hose do not. So, something for everydog that loves to fetch from the lake, pool or pond. And if your dog decides that chasing leaves is more fun than getting into the water, attach a River Rope so you can easliy retrieve the toy without getting wet! Sounds like fun all around....
